I wanted a monitor for digital photography that was a little better than the bottom end offerings. I decided on the Viewsonic. When I received it there was a permanent green pixel right in the middle of the display, and a 3/8″ light banding strip at the top. Amazon was VERY helpful with the return process, even covering the return shipping. It seems that bad pixels in new monitors can be considered ‘normal’, but right in the center is unacceptable. I have seen this monitor in operation, and as long as there are no pixel problems, it looks great.

Just got the ViewSonic monitor for 1 year, and it breaks!!! I called ViewSonic’Scustomer service, absolutely terrible customer service! The representatives were very rude, they even hang out on me. I have such a bad experiences with ViewSonic, I will never purchase any products from them ever again!

Please be aware when you buy any of ViewSonic’s products!

ViewSonic CANNOT PRODUCE MONITOR LAST LONGER THAN ONE YEAR!!!

The monitor, with VG2230wm clearly stamped onto it, does not correspond with any owner manual I’ve been able to find for the model it is supposed to be. I am helpless to make any settings changes, even though I installed the software…there simply is no way to do it without a manual. There is a very annoying “screen resolution” window that pops up every time the focus comes to this monitor. The window says press 1 or press 2 to deactivate the notice and the manual refers to the numbered buttons on the front of the screen…there are no buttons on the front of the screen. If there were a solution to this annoying interference, I might feel differently. As it is, I will no doubt be looking to dump it in the very near future. Never again will ViewSonic be my choice.

I purchased a 20inch N2010 LCD TV three years ago(2005); my wife had it on

for abt 2-3 hrs each day. About 3 weeks ago, it stopped working. When she powers it on, the screen cycles thru what appears to be a diagnostic(primary colour screens – about 5).

I wrote to the CEO James Chu the day after it stopped working; I have got no response yet(3 weeks now) . . I find this customer callousness apalling.I will not buy anymore Viewsonic products.

I am a physicist/trader and have approx 16 displays which run 10 hrs/day weekdays – mostly Samsung now. I am happy with Samsung LCD reliability.

CEO’s of technology product companies need to study the case of Dell – and what the consequences of ignoring customer feedback can be(Google Jeff Jarvis, ‘Dell Hell’).

I am absolutly LOVE this monitior. Bright, sharp and easy to set-up.

the off beat native resolution can proove to be a bit tricky to set up

and drivers for vista is not easy to get it from the website, but once you set it up it is a gem. this is my first very own LCD and coming from 17 boobtube to this 22″ buity is a WOW factor on its own SO I am enjoing evey minute of it..

Hoever such a big screen might be overkill for every day work so choose cerefully :-)
